When: Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 1pm to 2pm.
Where: Fitch's Bridge, Groton, MA.
Speakers at the event to include Senator Eileen Donoghue, Representative Sheila Harrington, Peter Cunningham, Mark Haddad, David Manugian and Marion Stoddart. Music will be provided by John Wiesner inckluding members of the Pebbled Btoom River Kids. Light refreshments will be served.
It would be wonderful if you were able to carpool or walk/bike to the event. If driving, please park on Wallace Road facing out. There will be limited handicap parking spaces on Pepperell Road and on Fitch's Bridge Road.
If hiking or biking to the event, you may wish to join members of the Groton Trails Committee on one of two guided tours: a guided hike from the Hayes Woods Trailhead on Maple St. through the Johnston Parcel to the newly constructed Fitch's Bridge, or a guided bike tour from the Groton Senior Center following Spencer Circle Road and the trail from Hilll St. to the Fitch's Bridge. Both the Hike and the Bike are family friendly and will take about a half an hour on easy forested terrain. Both guided trips will start promptly at 12 noon.
