* First Annual Celebrate Shirley Golf Classic

The Shirley Charitable Foundation (SCF) is in the final stage of organizing the "First Annual Celebrate Shirley Golf Classic" to be held at the Townsend Ridge Country Club on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.  The "Celebrate Shirley Golf Classic" is expected to be our chief fund raising activity supporting the Foundation's mission to be a stable, ongoing resource that makes a difference in the Shirley community.  The Foundation provides support to groups, organizations and activities that foster increased community focus and quality of life improvements for all.  Among the initiatives are the Summer Concerts on the Common series, the Shirley Avenue of Flags, the Shirley Connection web site where people in need of services can easily search for services in the area, fuel/utilities assistance for Shirley citizens, support for the programs of the Shirley Senior Outreach Coordinator, Meeting House, the Ayer-Shirley School system, and Center Town Hall activities, library programs, thermal imaging cameras for the Shirley Fire Department as well as many other town programs and events.
