Then and Now: Learn about Groton's 20th century fire history including
the Great Fire of 1941. Life long resident of Groton, Roy Johnson, will be a featured speaker. Roy was an instructor at the Fire Department, teaching rigging and ladder work. He also worked as a relief dispatcher and for the rescue squad. Groton Fire Chief Steele McCurdy will also join the discussion to talk about 21st century fire fighting and the town's current Fire Department services.
