Fast Tracks, Slow Tracks: Searching for Clues to Winter Wildlife in our Forests, Fields, and Streams---NRWA Intermediate Tracking Workshop
Sunday, March 10, 2013, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Williams Barn Conservation Property in Groton
Early March is prime tracking season for winter wildlife as animal activity increases with the longer, warmer days leaving signs and evidence all around us. This three hour in-depth tracking workshop, designed for adults and children ages 12 and up, focuses on three distinct winter habitats and the animals that not only survive but thrive during our harshest months. Learn to “read” their stories through the signs and clues we discover. Activity level: moderate hiking or snowshoeing (bring your own if you wish to snowshoe), mostly off-trail. Fee: $20/person for NRWA members and $25/person for non-members. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Detailed directions will be provided upon registration. To register, contact Stacey Chilcoat, NRWA River Classroom Director, (978) 448-0299 or StaceyC@NashuaRiverWatershed.org.
