Special invitation for Shirley seniors:  You are invited to attend the Nashua River Watershed Association's free presentation, “Explore the Forest Floor: The Magical World of Moss, Lichen, and Fungi”.

WHAT:  From "Pixie Cups" to "Velvet Brocade", lichens and mosses are some of the most fascinating and beautiful yet often overlooked organisms in our forests.  Gaynor Bigelbach, NRWA Education Associate and naturalist, will lead this exploration of specimens and minature forest floor displays using botany magnifiers and microscopes. Learn about the importance of these ingenious "pioneer" species and how they help to keep the forest, and us, healthy. There will be ample time for questions.
