* Electronic and Appliance Recycle Day - Sterling

An electronic and appliance recycle day will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, in the parking lot of St. Richard’s Church, 4 Bridge St., Sterling.

Residents can bring electronics, including monitors, computers, computer games, stereo equipment, copy and fax machines, printers and TVs. Appliances will also be accepted, including washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, lawn mowers, snow blowers with the gas removed, exercise equipment and grills.

The fees are: $5 for each monitor or computer, $10 for any small TV less than 19”, $15 for each TV between 19” and 26” and $20 for each TV over 26” wide and wood console TVs. Projection TVs are $25.

Appliances are $10 each. The hard drives of computers will be destroyed. Cell phones, car, truck batteries, scrap metal and bikes are free. For more information, e-mail J.wood36@yahoo.com.
