U.S. Rep. Niki Tsongas will host a small-business roundtable with the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce to discuss policies needed to help drive job creation and economic growth.
The roundtable will examine topics such as what is working in the local economy; what are the opportunities and obstacles to promoting hiring in the area; what role do tax incentives play in where businesses locate and whom they hire' and what should be done at the federal level to help employers create jobs.
Tsongas will also visit small businesses in Ayer before the event, which begins at 11 a.m. and takes place at Ayer Town Hall. Tsongas will host similar discussions with business leaders in other parts of the 5th Congressional District in coming weeks.
