A lifelong passionate musician, David Weise grew up in Brooklyn jamming to a fusion of punk, classic rock blues, heavy metal and other influences which later defined his unique musical style, along with an evolving mix of later genres he continually embraced in his work. Dubbed as a "true musician and songwriter," David puts forth music with "attitude and integrity," conveying deep meaning with his dynamic, catchy lyrics that win his loyal fans' hearts. His innate creativity has graced two albums, with a third self-titled CD of his own music on the way produced by Doug Beck that is slanted towards his latest penchant for the sounds of bluesy Americana. David also won recognition in 2009 with a song from one of his early bands, Dead Family, appearing in the Oscar-nominated movie "The Wrestler." The song "Mirror," which he co-wrote and performed as lead singer, was additionally featured on the movie's soundtrack, available on Koch Records. Among David's other accomplishments include signing a distribution deal with Feed That Baby Records, co-writing with Johnnie Young on their Ecotone Refugees song "Water is Rising" project picked up by MPL Publishing, and having his track "Manipulator" was featured on Great Britain iTunes |
