Chores to Chalkboard + Farm Days = Fun for the Entire Community!
On Saturday, August 9th from 1pm-4pm, the Tyngsborough-Dunstable Historical Society and Dunstable Rural Land Trust will be taking us back in time when life was simpler, and our community survived and thrived due to farming.
At McLoon Barn you will find live animals, a sheep herding demo, beekeeping, quilting, live music, and more!
At the Little Red Schoolhouse across the street, you will find ten different events ranging from using a two man saw to making matches to carry flames to lanterns (which you can make), weaving rugs to cover the rough floors of a farmhouse, husking corn and slathering it with butter you made, and more.As if a child’s day was not full enough, they will also go to school and there will meet the Schoolmaster who has very strict rules and expectations.
Thank you to these 2 great organizations for sponsoring this fun and educational day!
