* Changes of State: NRWA Science Saturday for 7-11 Year Olds
Saturday, February 8, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
NRWA River Resource Center, 592 Main Street (Rt. 119), Groton, MA
What is a liquid, a solid, a gas? What are the characteristics of each of these states of matter, and how can we experiment with them? The NRWA is presenting another Science Saturday program for the experimentally curious. Join Mary Marro, NRWA Environmental Education Director, for "Changes of State" on Saturday, February 8. A few questions we'll investigate: What is jello? What is Oobleck...a liquid or a solid? What is snow? Come and experiment, have fun, and find your own answers. Science Saturday is open to children from all communities ages 7 to 11. The fee is: $20 for NRWA members; $25 for non-members. For siblings who wish to attend, pay full price for the first child, ½ price for the second. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register, please contact Mary Marro, NRWA Environmental Education Director, at (978) 448-0299, or email MaryM@NashuaRiverWatershed.org.
