Regional Student & Adult Artwork on Exhibit During ArtsNashoba's Annual ArtNight - 4/5/16
DEVENS, MA: After the success of their previous regional art exhibits, SpringHill Suites has partnered once again with ArtsNashoba to present their annual ArtNight, a family-friendly arts presentation including works from Artists throughout the Nashoba Valley Region and beyond. ArtNight will be held April 4 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at both the SpringHill Suites and Devens Common Center on Andrews Parkway. For more information, call (978) 772-2545 or visit www.artsnashoba.org.
Says event coordinator JulieAnn Govang, "The Nashoba Valley enjoys such a wealth of artistic talent in our schools, and both SpringHill and ArtsNashoba are excited to be able to offer up this exhibiting opportunity to shine a spotlight on as many artists as we can!" Added Visual Arts Director for ArtsNashoba Donna Dawson, "The kids' work is always so creative and imaginative, and I never tire of seeing how talented young people can be."
Normally an event that focuses on artwork by youth, ArtNight has expanded its scope to also include adult works for their 2016 show. Added Dawson, "It's great that SpringHill is welcoming adults from our region to participate in this event, too - craftspeople, photographers - it's going to be amazing." While students works will remain on display in the main lobby and amenity areas of the Andrews Parkway hotel, there will also be an additional adult exhibit underway simultaneously in the Devens Common Center immediately adjacent to the hotel.
Currently scheduled to be exhibiting are artists from Acton, Ayer, Grotoin, Harvard, Lowell, Shirley, Townsend, Westford and more. Additional student and adult artists and artisans working in all visual art media are welcome to exhibit at this even as long as space permits. There is no fee to participate – only effort and enthusiasm! Artists can participate as a school group, through studios and arts agencies, or independently as long as space permits. For more information, call (978) 772-2545 or email julieann@artsnashoba.org.
To further enhance the evening, there will be live music played by regional artists, as well as demonstrations, activities, live ice-cream making, and refreshments provided by SpringHill's talented chefs. Surely, there'll be something for everyone artistic, musical, sensory - of all ages, all very family-friendly.
Established by ArtsNashoba, ArtNight is part of Marriott’s ‘Save Art Campaign,’ meant to corporately support and encourage school art programs at the community level, and it is SpringHill Suites hope to encourage and build the arts in the Nashoba Valley region. All students, schools, academies and/or organizations who teach art are welcome, and all participants will be considered to receive grants of art supplies donated by Marriott Hotels.
ArtNight'16 is free of charge and the public is invited from 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 5th, 2016, at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott and the Devens Common Center - both on Andrews Parkway in Devens. For more information, call (978) 772-2545 or visit www.artsnashoba.org.
