Relay For Life is the signature community fundraising event of the American Cancer Society. The event consists of teams of individuals who take turns walking around a track to raise money in the fight against cancer. The overnight journey is representative of the life of someone battling cancer. By walking through the night, we show how cancer never sleeps, and by coming together as a community, we show that there is always love and support around us for those who need it.
Each event is designed around three core tenants: celebrating survivors, remembering loved ones lost, and fighting back against the disease. The event is fun and family friendly, but it also allows for times of reflection, grieving, and healing. Beyond that, Relay For Life is an experience; one that you won’t soon forget!
