A Special Showing of the Marion Stoddart film
Work of 1000
Featured Guest: Marion Stoddart
Lancaster Town Center —First Church of Christ Unitarian Hall
This documentary film is of particular interest to all residents of the Nashua Valley. It tells the story of Marion Stoddart, a citizen leader whose incredible drive and focus inspired 1000’s to share her vision to clean and protect for future generations what was once one of the 10 most polluted rivers in the United States. Today groups throughout the region are working to protect the river and connect people with this remarkable regional asset.
Following the film, local leaders will engage with Marion and audience participants in dialogue about what still needs to be done, and ways everyone can enjoy this natural resource.
Admission is free, but reservations are requested. For reservations, call the Thayer Memorial Library at 978-368-8928, ext. 4, or e-mail: nhclune@cwmars.org or 41Bflynn@comcast.net
