DESCRIPTION:Words to Ponder: Thoreau Comes to Clinton--Again!\n\n\n\n Download In Thoreau's Footsteps Flyer\n\n        \n\nThursday\, January 17th ~ 7:00 - 8:30 pm\n\n \n\n \n\n         Clinton Historical Society at the Holder Memorial\n\n         210 Church Street\, Clinton\, MA \n\n \n\nThoreau\, as portrayed by historical interpreter Richard Smith\, will reprise his lecture "An Excursion to Cape Cod " as he did one snowy evening at the Bigelow Mechanic Institute. While in Clinton\, he was given a tour of the local gingham mills. Thoreau was so impressed that he described the cloth-making process in his journal. \n\n \n\nDesigned for all ages\, this re-enactment will bring to life Thoreau's singular teachings and his concerns about industrialization. This FREE program will conclude with a Q&A about why Thoreau remains relevant today. \n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHosted by the Freedom's Way National Heritage Area in partnership \n\nwith the Clinton Historical Society. This program is funded\n\nby a grant from the Clinton Cultural Council\,\n\nsupported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
