SUMMARY:* Wild Woman of Westford Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:The Westford Historical Society is hosting the Wild Women of Westford on\n\nSaturday\, March 30 starting at 7 p.m. This fundraiser will be held at the Museum.\n\nEvery woman has a story to tell and gifts to share with the world. Since 1987\, the United\n\nStates has formally recognized March as National Women's History Month. To that end\, on March 30\, the Westford Historical Society is honoring and celebrating some of Westford's magnificent ladies in the program\, Wild Women of Westford.\n\nFrom school teacher and mill worker to scientist and civil right activist\, Westford has an\n\nabundant history of outstanding and courageous women and we will introduce you to just a few of them.\n\nWith visual assistance from the Museum's Westford Women Dolls\, participants will hear how their\n\nlives made a difference in our town and world today. We will enjoy samplings of wines from\n\nAaronap Cellars paired with chocolate and cheese from the Cheese Monger at Mill No.\n\n5\, and other sweets (non-alcoholic drinks will be provided).\n\nWe will also be honoring Ellen Rainville\, a modern Westford Woman who has contributed\n\nmuch to shaping all our lives.\n\nTickets are $40 for Non-Members and $25 for WHS Members. No tickets will be sold at the\n\ndoor. You can purchase tickets on the website (museum.westford.org/events) or at the\n\nMuseum Mondays\, Wednesdays\, and Fridays 9-1 and Sundays 2-4pm.\n\nThe mission of the Westford Historical Society is to promote the understanding and\n\nappreciation of Westford's unique history to the community. By providing programming that\n\nfeatures aspects of the daily lives\, activities and achievements of Westford residents\, we\n\nstrive to expand and enrich understanding of how our town continues to evolve. We foster an environment of teaching and learning that strengthens our\n\nsense of community. We will collect\, preserve and exhibit documents\, photographs\, objects\n\nand sites historically significant to Westford\, and encourage outside efforts to do the same.\n\nThe Westford Museum is open most Sundays 2-4pm. Please stop by and visit our new\n\nexhibits!\n\n###\n\nFor more information about this topic\, please contact Linda Greene by calling\n\n978-692-5550\, or e-mail Linda at director@museum.westford.org.
