DESCRIPTION:Wild Trout Fisheries and Management in Massachusetts\n\nTuesday\, February 7\, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom\n\nAdam Kautza PhD\, the Coldwater Fisheries Project Leader for the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife will give us an overview of the status and distribution of our wild trout resources here in MA\, touch a little on big-picture management\, and highlight wild trout resources in the Nashua River watershed with a focus on the Squannacook/Nissitissit Rivers system. He will also touch on climate change impacts to coldwater fisheries and what might be done to remediate those impacts. As Coldwater Fisheries Project Leader\, Adam works all across the state with district staff and various outside partners on management\, conservation\, and restoration of Massachusetts coldwater fish resources. He holds a BS in Biology from University of Wisconsin\, a MS in Fisheries Science from the University of Idaho\, and a PhD in Aquatic Ecology from Ohio State. Register for this program on Zoom.
