\n\n\n\nCLINTON &mdash\; The state Department of Conservation and Recreation announced it will open the top of Wachusett Reservoir Dam for the public to walk across on the afternoon of May 10. \;

\nThe walkway along the top of the dam\, which overlooks the reservoir\, has been closed since the 1990s because of water supply security and public safety concerns. DCR Watershed Rangers will be on hand to answer questions and to provide other information on the state'\;s watershed protection program. \;

\nBackpacks\, briefcases and other large bags will not be allowed at the event. All other items may be subject to search. \;
