DESCRIPTION:TOWNSEND   The Townsend Rod and Gun Club is holding an Ice Fishing Derby on Sunday\, Jan. 26. It will be held at the club pond at 46 Emery Road.\n\n\n\nRegistration begins at 7 a.m. and fishing is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12. There is a three fish limit and the re-up fee is $10. The kitchen will be open from breakfast time through lunch time.\n\n\n\nThe pond will be stocked with rainbow and brown trout and they'll be hungry. The derby is open to all area adults and children. Fishing licenses are not needed and Townsend Rod and Gun Club membership is not required. Fishing bait will not be sold\, so be sure to stock up before the derby.\n\n\n\nThe second Ice Fishing Derby is scheduled for Sunday\, Feb. 22. Derbies are held when there is enough ice. Call Jon at 978-597-2440 for ice information or check the club website at townsend-rod-and-gun-club.org.
