\nAge Minimum: All those auditioning must be entering Grade 4
\n
\nAdult Ensemble will play a variety of roles:
\nMales &ndash\; Nazi soldiers\, neighbors\, Salzburg citizens\, servants\, party guests\, contestants and audience members in the Festival Concert.
\nFemale &ndash\; Salzburg citizens\, nuns\, novices\, postulants\, servants\, party guests\, contestants and audience members in the Festival Concert.
\n
\nAdults please come prepared with two contrasting 16 to 32-bar excerpts in a Rogers and Hammerstein musical theater style that shows off your range and/or ability\, that is NOT from the show. We will definitely hear one\, but may ask for the second piece only we need to hear more. Kids please bring something you are comfortable singing\, but again nothing from the show please. We ask that everyone bring sheet music for your audition pieces\, as we will not accept a capella auditions.
\n
\nMonologues are not required. Please note that you may be asked to do a cold reading from the script at callbacks.
\n
\nThere will also be a dance/movement portion of the auditions\, taught in groups. Please wear comfortable shoes (no flip flops) and clothing that you can move in.
\n
\n
\nRehearsal Schedule: First rehearsal is Wednesday June 25th
\nSundays 6:30-9pm (only after August 1)
\nMondays 6:30-9pm
\nWednesdays 6:30-9pm
\n
\nNot everyone will be called for every rehearsal. Please bring your calendar to the auditions so you can note any conflicts at that time.
