\nRonnie Baker Brooks \;is a 2nd generation \;Chicago Blues master\, singer and songwriter. \;The son of legendary Chicago bluesman \;Lonnie Brooks\, Ronnie'\;s style \;honors the \;torch bearers of this unique sound which includes Willie Dixon\, Buddy Guy\, B.B. King\, Luther Allison and\, of course\, Lonnie Brooks. He has been selected to headline the \;2017 Chicago Blues Festival.

\nRonnie recently released his first album in 10 years\, "\;Times Have Changed. And in the Olympic tradition\, when the torch gets passed on\, the flame \;transfers from one sure hand to the next - keeping it burning\, while \;at the same time moving it forward. It'\;s a fitting image for this Chicago guitar hero. Not only does he sing with soulful fire and play \;with a white-hot intensity\; he'\;s also carrying the torch from the \;previous generation of soul and blues greats and moving the music into \;the future. \;"\;I grew up among the best of the best\,"\; \;Brooks \;says. \nBorn in Chicago\, Ronnie started playing guitar at age six. At 19 he joined his father who by then had influenced some of the most well-known bluesmen of our history: \;Jimmy Reed\, \;the Fabulous Thunderbirds\, \;Johnny Winter \;andJunior Wells. For 12 years the two would tour together\, putting Ronnie out front with \;Eric Clapton\, \;B.B. King\, \;Buddy Guy \;and \;Koko Taylor. In 1998\, when he was 32\, his father told him to go solo and the rest is history. \;
\nBesides his own albums\, he has produced albums and contributed guitar work to albums by \;Elvin Bishop\, \;the Legendary Rhythm &\; Blues Review\, \;Billy Branch \;and \;Big Head Todd. \;
