SUMMARY:POSTPONED - Workplace Management Series Half Day Breakout Sessions
DESCRIPTION:11/14/14 event postponed. Details to follow...\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWorkplace Management Series\n\nHalf Day Breakout Sessions\n\nEvent Sponsored by Holiday Inn Boxborough\n\n \n\n \n\nSecrets to Turn Conflict into Opportunity \n\nwith Tyke Crowley\n\n8:30am-9:30am\n\n \n\nMost people see conflict as negative process\, but instead\, conflict can be an opportunity. The 3 secrets of turning conflict into opportunity build customer loyalty and strengthen connections. To make this transformation\, you must decide on your outcome of a conversation. Too many people charge into conflict without a plan. Yes\, you ?talked? but was it helpful\, productive and mutually beneficial? Probably not. With a plan\, you then need to manage the role of emotions. The problem of conflict is not the problem itself\, but the emotions connected to the situation. \n\nHaving overcome a life-threatening illness and two lung transplants\, I learned\, honed and created my Make Each Day CountTM philosophy. I now offer my life-tested tools and strategies through my training and coaching.\n\n \n\nAbout Tyke Crowley ? \n\nTyke Crowley\, Life-tested Coach for Wellness and Purposeful Living\n\n \n\nMy business trainings focus on enhancing communication\, transforming conflict to opportunity\, harnessing stress and creating habits of success. In addition to my personal experience\, I use my 16 years as a professional mediator for the US Post Office and my mastery of NLP to deliver proven strategies that will change your life at work and home.\n\n \n\nIn my personal sessions\, I train you to find The Wellness Warrior WithinTM\, which motivates you to action and improve your life. Whether using a coaching process or hypnosis\, I help people make lasting improvement. These strategies saved my life\, have given my life purpose\, and I?m confident they can help you on your journey.\n\n \n\nAlthough there are many "trainers and wellness coaches"\, you can only truly be guided by someone who's been there before. I know what it's like to be critically ill\, to deal with intense stress\, to engage in emotional conversations\, to overcome adversity and to live with purpose.\n\n \n\nLessons and Landmines: Navigating bullying\, domestic violence and internal investigations\n\nwith Jean Haertl\n\n9:45am-11:15am\n\n \n\nJoin Jean Haertl\, CEO\, Safety and Respect at Work\, LLC national expert on workplace bullying\, and domestic violence in the workplace to learn how employers can prepare for the Governor?s new law on employment leave for victims of domestic violence\, immunize the workplace and respond effectively to bullying complaints\, and how to ensure internal investigations into bullying and code of conduct complaints. \n\n \n\nAs the architect of the original legislation signed into law by Governor Patrick this past August\, and as the State?s former Director of Workplace and Domestic Violence\, Jean will provide a dynamic and interactive workshop designed to assist employers in effectively implementing this new law.
