DESCRIPTION:The Executive Office of Labor & Workforce Development\, The MassHire North Central Career Center and North Central Workforce Board will host a workshop for employers outlining changes to the Massachusetts' Paid Family and Medical Leave Law (MPFML) and employer's responsibilities.  \n\n \n\nAbout this Event \n\nSeptember 16th\, 1pm-3pm  \n\nMassHire North Central Career Center \n\n100 Erdman Way(rear of building)\, Leominster\, MA \n\n \n\nWilliam Alpine\, Director\, Department of Family & Medical Leave will lead this educational seminar to deliver updates and key information that all employers need to be aware of.  The law will go into effect on October 1st\, and both traditional employers and companies with self-employed workers are required to comply with the MPFML's guidelines.  \n\nAt this educational seminar\, Mr. Alpine will cover the following topics:\n\n \n\n	What is the Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave (MPFML).\n	Who is eligible for benefits under the MPFML.\n	What are my obligations as an employer\, and what is my financial responsibility.\n\n \n\n \n\nAs of September 30th 2019\, employer obligations will officially begin\, and employees will be eligible to receive benefits on January 1\, 2021. \n\nMake sure that your business is taking the appropriate and necessary steps!\n\nSeats are limited so please email your RSVP by September 9th to Scott Percifull: spercifull@masshirenorthcentralcc.com
