The Hunger Run will begin at 9:00am and travel along the scenic back roads of Ayer and Groton. The race will finish back at Nashoba Valley Medical Center where a Family Health and Harvest Festival awaits. Children are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes and enjoy the "Kids-in-Costumes Half Mile Run." Walkers are also welcome. The cost to register for the 5k race is $20.00. The half mile run and walkers' fee is $5.00 All proceeds from the event will benefit Loaves and Fishes\, a non-profit organization that provides food and support to those in need. Runners are asked to bring one nonperishable food item for Loaves and Fishes. To register for the race\, please visit www.active.com. The first 100 runners to register will receive a long sleeve tee-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for 1stplace male and 1stplacefemale.
