SUMMARY:* Camp Stevens Memorial Re-Dedication
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, *November 2\, at 11 a.m*. there will be a re-dedication of the\n\nCamp Stevens Muster Grounds memorial.\n\n\n\nCamp Stevens was a Civil War training camp located off of Fitchburg road in\n\n1862. It was the home and training camp of the 53rd Regiment Massachusetts\n\nVolunteer Infantry. The Town of Ayer\, through the Ayer\n\nHistorical Commission\, was the recipient of a partial grant this summer\n\nfrom the Massachusetts Sesquicentennial Commission. Work began in August\n\nand completed within a week by Pinard Landscaping.\n\n\n\nThe monument is located at 111 Fitchburg Road on property owned by David E.\n\nRoss Associates\, Inc.
