DESCRIPTION:Baker Brook Hike\n\n	\n\n	Sunday\, April 7\, 2013\, 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.\, along Baker Brook in Fitchburg \n\n	 \n\n	Join the NRWA for a free guided nature hike near the headwaters of Baker Brook in Fitchburg\, part of NRWA's first annual "Local Streams Awareness Week" with a 2013 focus on Baker Brook and Coolidge Park in Fitchburg. Led by NRWA's Land Programs Director\, Al Futterman\, we'll follow a   mile long trail that begins on the FSU's Michael Riccards Field and travels north through the Gelinas Open Space tract. We'll be looking for signs of local wildlife\, as well as talking about the ecosystems along the brook.  The project is supported by the Massachusetts Service Alliance. Participants in the guided walk will be encouraged to also join NRWA on Saturday\, April 27th for a volunteer clean-up at Coolidge Park (details below). The meeting location for the hike is the Fitchburg State University parking lot adjacent to the Wallace Civic Center on John Fitch Highway near the pedestrian bridge that leads north over brook.\n\n	\n\n	To register\, or for more information\, please contact Al Futterman at (978) 448-0299\, or email AlF@NashuaRiverWatershed.org.
